Sigurtà Garden Park
CYCLING IN SIGURTÀ GARDEN PARK
Sigurtà Garden Park is a 70-hectare nature park located in Valeggio sul Mincio, in the province of Verona, 17 km from Marengo. It won the awards for Italy’s most beautiful park in 2013 and Europe’s second most beautiful park in 2015.
A park full of natural and historical attractions: in March and April you can admire a million tulips, awarded in 2022 as the best tulip bloom in the world; the Avenue of Roses, which hosts 30,000 re-blooming roses from May to September; a labyrinth, eighteen bodies of water where aquatic plants bloom between June and July, and immense green lawns. A magical place, even more so if discovered by bike; inside the park, a cycling loop of about 7 km allows you to visit the entire grounds.
The route from Marengo to the park follows the Mantua-Peschiera cycle path, one of the most beautiful cycle paths in Italy, along the course of the Mincio river. Don’t miss a visit to Borghetto, a village of mills built on the river located right on the cycle path, which is even more beautiful when viewed from the Scaligero Bridge.
